The Dorset Group of the TR Register was formed in the 1990's to meet the needs of TR enthusiasts in Dorset. The Group has a well established meeting place - the Bloxworth Social Club (BH20 7EG) near Bere Regis between the A31 & A35 (second Thursday of the month starting around 8:00pm and quite informal). Please check with a committee member if unsure.
The Group, with around 80 current members (some more active than others!), is made up of TR enthusiasts who enjoy attending shows and events around the Region and further afield, as well as arranging weekend and longer holidays throughout the U.K. and also to the Continent.
Whilst most events tend to major on weekends, we also organise occasional events for those who have time on their hands through the week. During the winter season, when many TRs are off the road, we arrange a series of Sunday pub lunches to keep the ball rolling, and members turn up in their 'daily cars'.
There is no pressure on anyone to "join in", we welcome everyone (including partners) to our meetings so why not join us and enjoy a drink and some friendly chat with like-minded TR enthusiasts? Dorset members are quite knowledgeable about TRs and are always willing to assist other members with their technical issues - that's the 'oily rag' bit, but we're known to major on the social aspects of club membership.
