Curborough Sprint Course Track Day (novice friendly)
11th June 2025
The TR Register is looking forward to its next fantastic track day, following on from the success of Castle Combe in April.
Howard Cottrell, an Association of Hillclimb and Sprint Schools instructor, will be on hand all day to provide instruction, making this day perfect for novices and beginners.
This one is a little different. We aren’t on a race circuit but on the Curborough Sprint Course, near Lichfield. This means that:
There’s only one car on the track at a time
It’s open to all cars, classics and moderns (but not EVs)
It’s limited to just 20 cars, £75 / car
A helmet isn’t essential for cars with a fixed roof, just highly recommended
A helmet is essential for soft-top carsSorry, we won’t have helmets to hire out; you’ll have to bring your own
All drivers must have a valid UK driving licence
The static noise test is 105 dBa at 5m and 45 degrees from the tip of the exhaust
spectators, second drivers and passenger rides are all free
The café will not be open, but there are at least three cafes within 2 miles of the course
The Curborough Sprint Course is used by our TR Register Sprint and Hillclimb championships, so it is an ideal try-out for those wishing to dip their toes in the water with more competitive motorsport or just enjoy their TR!
