Well, we did say we could do with some rain after a long dry summer, but why today? We booked our usual table of 12 for breakfast and there were 21 of us there in the end. A hardy lot these TR drivers. We were paying much attention to the progress of the thunderstorm overhead as several of us were moving on to Rob Lovell's for an apple and pear picking session. As it turned out the storm was kind to us and we enjoyed coffees and cakes kindly laid on by Rob before we went out to his fruit trees pick as much fruit as we wanted. Thanks Rob, very good of you.
