LVG kicks off 2025 in style

Lea Valley Group always have a Kick off Lunch immediately after our Annul Members Meeting.

In 2025 we had the best attended KOL yet, with 47 people staying to eat, drink and be merry. During lunch everyone had the chance to complete a quiz, set by Alison with the winning pair getting a bottle of Prosecco in recognition.

We also held a raffle to help cover the overall subsidised cost of the day and this was very well supported.

Our committee member and resident archivist, Tony set out a display of memorabilia that the group have acquired over the 51 years it has been in existence. There were many photos and albums showing events over the years, but it was noticeable how young most of the people looked in the pictures. Thankfully, not all current members are grey, bald or both, but there are less youngsters than in years gone by. The display was of interest to everyone and some complimentary comments were made, thanking the team for including such a display.

Not long now until the horrible damp or icy days will be gone and we can get our TR’s out and about and doing what they do best. Roaring around the countryside (safely of course).
