LVG Summer BBQ a roaring success

We had a new venue for this years BBQ at the village hall in Old Warden. This was a suggestion from long time member, Andy Gostling (who also offered to man the BBQ and hire the hall for us - Thanks Andy).

Little did we know how good the venue would be. Ample parking behind the hall and a grass area to the side that gave us good shade on a wonderfully sunny day. Forty people attended with 20 TR’s in the car park and after some great food, Howard & Loretta organised a Highway Code quiz and the usual “Play your Cars Right” game. Well done to Pat M who was the only one to get fully across predicting higher or lower for the cards.

We only used the kitchen & washrooms on this occasion, but the hall its self is a great facility and we can see many future uses for us. It is also sited practically in the centre of our Group. Another big thank you to Andy and Jude for the suggestion and their hard work making yet another LVG event such a success.
