Mike Thomas - a tribute

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of Mike Thomas.

Mike & Sally were KVG members for over twelve years, and joined in with all our activities, including trips to France, Spain, Switzerland, Wales and all over England.

Mike had many classic cars over the years, and by his own admission he never kept any of them for more than a couple of years. But his pristine TR6 he kept for over ten years because he and Sally so enjoyed the company of the friends they met in the Kennet Valley Group.

As with all of his activities Mike worked on the principle that if you join then you have to contribute, and he served on the KVG committee for many years including latterly as Treasurer.

He combined cars with his other passion for boats when he arranged for the group to have its summer barbeque at the Upper Thames Motor Yacht Club.

His sense of humour and generous nature will be missed by us all, and we send the sympathies of all of us at the KVG to Sally and his family.
