LVG go on a Tibble’s Tour

5 LVG members joined in the Tibble’s Tour on one of the hottest days of the year and 24 classics spent the day driving along backroads in Hertfordshire and Essex.

Long serving LVG member, Pete Muncer has been route planning and Co organising tours for The Carpenters Arms Classic Car Club for over 20 years now and this years event was his last in this capacity.

We all met at Aldwickbury Golf Course near Harpenden and after a hearty breakfast, set off on a Tulip route to our first destination at Colne Valley Railway. It is amazing how many wonderful roads there are just off the beaten track and Pete certainly found some for us to use. All in all the day’s tour took in 130 miles of driving with us arriving back at The Carpenters Arms pub in Harpenden for a fish and chip supper and convivial chat about the day’s exploits.

Well done Pete on a fantastic tour and for all your hard work over the years. You will be a hard act to follow.
