First registered in June 1967, this example has been with the seller and its eighth owner for six years (always garaged).
According to DVLA records, this example was previously painted green, but was refinished in English White in December 1998. It features a black vinyl convertible roof, over a black vinyl-trimmed interior, featuring white piping, a wood veneer dashboard inlay, and chrome trim accents. It rides on a set of 15-inch chrome wire wheels with two-spoke knock-offs, and shod in Vredestein Sprint Classic tyres.
Equipment includes a wood-rimmed Moto Lita steering wheel, heater and ventilation controls, a wooden gear knob, Jaeger gauges, and door card storage pockets.
This example has been fitted with a single bullet-style door mirror, an uprated radiator fan and brake servo, and a retro-style digital stereo. New wipers and sun visors recently fitted.
Accordingly to documents which accompany the car, notable maintenance includes the engine being replaced/reconditioned in 2004/2005 and restorative maintenance carried out in 2011 when the car was resprayed and the interior was also retrimmed. The driver’s seat was replaced in 2016. A major service was carried out in March 2018 at an indicated 4,172 miles by DS Automotives, which included the rear differential oil being changed, the 123 ignition system installed, a remote brake servo fitted, the brake master cylinder replaced, a new radiator cap, the spark plugs replaced, the nearside steering rack gaiter replaced, and the front wheel bearings being adjusted. The odomoter now indicates 7,000 miles
There are two blemishes on the bonnet, an imperfection on the bottom edge of the boot lid, a blemish on the front top end of the driver’s side rear wing, and one or two minor areas of blistering on the bottom of the windscreen, and on the left-hand rear fin. The heating system and column switch for lights need reconditioning.
The car comes with a full workshop report, photos from the 2018 service photos of the frame-off respray, wiring and maintenance diagrams, an owner’s handbook, a Haynes owner’s workshop manual, two sets of keys, a jack, a tool roll, the knock-off hammer, and an A4 folder containing a collection of maintenance invoices and MOT certificates.
